I noticed that for boogies pb sniper, he used a rifle stock, now i asked my mom about it (works for the state of new york), and she said that modifying a weapon in that fashion is illegal due to its similarity to a real firearm, can anybody verify this for me? i would really like to build something similar, but dont want to get busted by the popo

Unless a forum member has info about national laws that apply to this specific situation, I suggest looking up local laws for your city, county, and state here:
http://www.municode.com/resources/online_codes.asp

After you find your local government ordinances, search for terms such as "gun" "noise" "firearm" "potato", etc, to find what you need.

I don't think your actually modifying a weapon... he got the stock off ebay for like $5 (no gun or anything on it, it's just plastic).

When you rip everything off it, it's just a piece of plastic.

I thought he said he got it dumpster diving. And as long as it doesnt resemble a weapon, and yor not carrying it around you neighborhood, i think it will be ok.

Some states might require painting the tip of the barrel orange, but that should be the only potential poblem I can think of if you use your gun responsibly.

I wouldn't mind painting the tip of the barrel myself...you could actaully get that to look cool. Haha, I remember when I was younger I used to tear the orange tip off of metal cap guns and they looked so real...

hey dex, i did the same thing too!! interesting, but im not sure if you would have to paint the tip orange, you cant operate it without an air source, and if you transport it, your not gonna carry a compresser around

Boy, I dont know PC. law makers are the lowest form of life, next to Bush. Around here you may say that A flask is just A piece of glass. But that piece of glass BY ITSELF (and full of pennis) was enough to get one of my friend 8 months in A correctional center boot camp after getting stoped in A gestapo roadside check point. Some laws are stupid but they are real. I would check it out first.
PS. He also got the flat bottom flask off ebay for like $5
