i was in my garage happily working on my latest penumatic i was all done and was hooking the gun up to a air compressor when i heard this huge bang and all of a sunnden i felt this excrusating pain in my right hand i looked down and saw all this blood coming from between my thumb and index finger what had happend was the end cap had blown off and struck me. apparently i had forgot to use pvc cement, had the cap hit an inch lower i would have probably broken my thumb because my air compressor was at 150 psi at the time pretty scary huh?

Yup, well thats why its a good idea to test all the components by pulling\twisting on them prior to use.

I usually do this in amazement of how strong that cement stuff really is[:p]

Wait a while before firing your cannon to let the glue dry.

Well that's good that we all learned a lesson from this mistake, and hopefully, this won't happen to anyone again.

You pressurized it to 150 on your first test?

All not smart things to do! The only good thing that can come from not using cement is making a cap shooting gun. I always test my guns with dish soap and a grease gun. That way if something like the cap were to pop off it would not shoot off.
