I heard in the milatry they use flour in traing missions to simulate bombs. What If I use flour bombs for airsoft and/or paintball fights. I made a design for soda bottles cocacola is ideal but really it's paralell slashes around a bottle lightly wrapped in plastic wrap, and sponge on the tip and fins or a ribbon on the back so it goes straight.
so when you throw it and it hitts the target the bottle smashes in and flour flys every where

... But i get what you're saying, and if it's legal in airsoft, then it sounds good, effective, and cheap to me.

I would not use a bottle full of flour for paintbally/airsoft, it's far too dangerous. It would be a better idea to make a cylinder out of aluminum foil and have it appropriately supported by a sabot on firing.

Well its tipped with sponge thats and 1in thick, and the bottle is around half full, and the bottle crushes easilly with all the cuts made, so it just has to shoot straight

Oh yeah and if you agree that it should work then tell me if you got ideas to make it secssesfully shoot out of a peumatic properly, and safely. or if you don't agree then tell me why cause I want to know and if you got a solution tell me

I wholeheartedly agree with FMJ here. Even if you cut the sides up EC, you have to remember that the bottle (if it doesn't come apart just after leaving the barrel) will still be travelling at a good clip. Plus, it'll have the added weight of the flour behind it. Personally, i'd rather not have a several pound cut up plastic projectile that sprays flour everywhere flying towards me. At least with the foil that FMJ suggested, it'll easily break up on impact. Pop bottle plastic is hard, even if you cut it up and put some token foam on the cap.

As an alternative, maybe try something a little less deadly, like cheap plasic baggies with a piece of tape over the end to keep it shut. Used with a proper sabot, of course

Put simply, would you be willing to test it by taking a direct hit to the head? Even with a foam tip, I imagine the answer is no.

Even an empty PET bottle can cause injury at close range.
