So Radio Shack had a computer speaker sale...

Well today at my local radio shack, i saw that these computer speakers and small subwoofer were on sale for 14.99. so obviously i couldnt pass it up. But since my normal comp speakers are perfect, i decided to put this new system to better use. Here i started out with the 3" subwoofer, and dual 2.5" audio speakers.

i still need to clean off the super glue remains, they dont show when you are looking at it but my camera has a flash:?. it is compatable with all ipods, mp3 players, portable cd and casette players, portable dvd players, pc's, etc. Right now i have it on my bedsite table hooked up to my ipod, the sound is very good for such a low price. The plugin cord also pulls out farther out of the box. I was supprised at how well it turned out for only 2+hours work. Plug it into the wall, plug in your music player of choice, sound. Let me know what you think.

lol idk i just saw it in a basket and thought what the hell why not. i just used a 2.5" keyhole saw for the speaker holes, the sub hole is already cut.

why? to play my ipod over a speaker system without paying 100 dollars for something that does the same thing.
inside the box is also the circuit board from the original product which is used to connect the sub to the rest of the speakers, and the wall plug to the whole system via plugs, i superglued these plugs to their ports on the board so they wouldnt come out by themselves somehow. On the board is also a pushbutton on/off switch, which is clicked into the "on" position, so that when plugged in, the box is active. also there is a turn switch for the volume, which is turned up half way so i dont blow out the speakers.

The reason i made it was so i could easily plug my ipod into it, and play music without headphones. to me this is easier than having a box sub and 2 other speakers floating around my desk.

the speakers carry bass well, i've got the same speakers, and wired the sub lead directly into 2 8" and 1 10", all home audio. it's enough amperage on the sub channel to actually bottom out the speakers, i need to get some real subs.
