dont know if yall thought bout this but, what if he wants the door locked when hes not in there, maybe hes at school or out, and there trying to get in, if he jbwelds, hows he gonna get back in, id just throw a deadbolt, on there

If you have to be able to open your door from the outside without other people being able to, I think you pretty much have to have a key.

um, did you even TRY to get a small family meeting setup?
like i said before, get evryone around the table, or together someplace.
talk it over, get your parents involved, get some sort of consequence in place, so that they forfeit allowence, or don't get desert or something if they go in your room.

Can you put a non-keyed lock on the very top of the door?

How about "keyless entry"? Put a sheet metal patch over the troublesome hole (mounted with some kinda bizarro Torx screws the kiddies won't know how to remove), then gut an R/C car (automotive steering) and use the servo to open a deadbolt when you want to get in?
