Airsoft barrel

This area is for the discussion of BB or airsoft sub machine guns, and or other small arms such as pellets. No home made BB or airsoft guns should ever be used in a match where you shoot other people... they are too powerful.

Brake line or fuel line of some sort? It comes in many sizes.

I know from experience that 1/4" brake line makes a great .177 cal barrel, and for airsoft I've heard 3/8" brake line is good (but I have not tried this). For a short barrel, I found that 1/8" galvanized is great if you use a drill bit to remove the weld seam (nice because it has NPT threaded ends and is great for a pistol-BBMG).

For my inline vortex guns I've been using 6mm aluminum tubing ordered from McMaster.com

I've heard that 5/16 breakline works good.

I bought some 5/16" dia. fuel line and it works great if you saw off the tapered ends. Its only 18" though...I dont know if that gives a significant power reduction.

I second this, just sleeve it in something more rigid.
