That would be so much cooler if those cylinders could actually be controlled. It looks to just be a stand.

Freefall, if you are serious, I have been actively trying to arrange a Burning Man meet and would love to get you in on it. I seriously want to set up a spudder camp this summer at BM. I'll do a bit more work and get back to you.

Damn, look at the recoil mechanism on the original post! That is down right brilliant.

Where can you get air pistons like that (for cheap)?

But his barrel looks way to short.

It's nice every once in a while to see someone who takes the time to custom make the parts themselves. Whether he machined it himself or not it still looks purdy. That thing puts my pile of PVC to shame lol

Pneumatic actuators can usually be found in lots on ebay for fairly cheap. I wonder if those actually move as air springs or if they are just for show. I can only see one of the ports on one of the cylinders, but the one I do see appears to be wide open, which would lead me to believe that it is just for show, but I could be wrong.
