my 1995 camaro

ive got a 1995 3.4l v6 camaro, and im getting some parts for it, they are, a turbocharger, a new radiator, nitrous, and an exhaust system...im wondering what i can do to my transmission to beef it up so it can take the power. that is, if i actually need to do anything?

The power rating of the 3.4 L L32 used in the Camaro and Firebird was 160 hp @ 4600 rpm and 200 ft. lbs torque @ 3600 rpm. Applications: 1993-1995.

Not sure, exactly, what type of transmission came with the 1995 GM V-6.

You probably wont need it, i've heard those tansmisions are good for 300HP. You should have gotten the V8 though. You might want to look at an intercooler for that turbo as well.

injectors.... youll regret not upgrading injectors, your computer, timing...

in order: turbo. get it running. fix what you break. add exhaust when doing the turbo, unless it's 2.5" or 3" single, you're wasting time. get rid of your catalytic converter also, unless you want a big hole where it was when the heat melts it.

nitrous is dumb, you still need to upgrade stuff for it.

it's not going to help you spool if you build the kit right, just one more thing to worry about. $700 you don't need to spend.

and '40%' increase from a turbo is bogus number. start with low boost (4-6psi) and go from there. just find a holset or a schwitzer or a gm3 turbo off of a dodge, ford, or gm diesel passenger truck. itll satisfy your needs for volume, plus not make you shit tons of heat that youd need to manage

And is there room for you to actually fit all this stuff under the hood? I have a 1995 Z28 and to put any major engine modification in, some seroius body work is required.

Cool!

In '73 I balanced and blue printed my 1972 240Z.
It saved me about 15% fuel. I think a gallon cost around 29¢ back then.
Added a Mulholland suspension system and Michelin tires.
Added a turbo I bought from some outfit in California sponsored by Paul Newman who raced 240 Z's for a while.
Got more horsepower and 40% better gas milage.
Added a custom exhaust that claimed to give me another 20% in fuel milage.
Got a tuned computer electrical system that gave more horsepower and 25% more fuel milage.

After that I never had to fill up. When going downhill I had to stop and let fuel out of the gas tank.
;-)

Today.....If it starts and run?....Good enough.
Toyota....my vehicle of choice.
