When I went to Home Depot to get parts for my first spudgun,guy comes and asks what i need.I show my list of parts and he says,"you know what,your the 5th person to come in today to get parts for a spudgun."I was like [:0].So he was like,oh youll need this and that and the bbq sparkers are over there in aisle 2......twas so funny.Havent seen any other spudguns but mine around here though

actually, I had a very similar experience last week at my local ACE. They're going out of business, so I'm always over there "stocking up" on the 50-75% off fittings and pipe. With some spare parts in hand, I ask a guy working there for 5ft of 2" and a few feet of 3". Thinking I was making a basic gun, he exclaimed, "You know, you're the third person this weekend to come in for potato gun parts!"

I was pretty surprised, as I don't know and have not heard of anyone around here making any spudguns! It really puts into perspective how big even a place like Nashville is...

I really wish there were some fellow spudgunners in my social circle, however. Its depressing to be the only person I know who builds potato guns in the Middle Tennessee area...

Ya, lets take out one of thoes 5-10 second ads and have it play during the super bowl! Then all of thoes lost spudders will have a new home! As soon as the server picks it's [excrement] up off the floor from being hit with millions of hits within a few min, and have to start makeing moderateing the spudtech forums a full time job with benefits.

Or, maybe we can think of something for Joel to do to get him on CNN or something, just about the only free way to get on national TV.

I have found that spudguns are actually quite popular. Many people build one, fire it for a week or so, then shelve it because it is so unreliable. Also, I don't think we want to attract attention to our hobby. Too many idiots like Frogboy watch the Superbowl and would get spudguns banned if they decided to build them...

The guy in th eplumbing section at my lowes(ick) has made them before, and he's old. Alos i picked up some parts at Ace in OKC once and a couple of guys that worked there said people go in there all the time to get spudgun parts and they were very helpful. Spudguns bring people together and make the world go round

my dad is pretty friendly with the guys at a local supply house, so when i told them i was picking up a couple things for my spud gun they told me to bring it in and show it to them, heheh.

when i went somewhere else for my sch 80 stuff, the guy was asking why i needed schedule 80. "high pressure." he didnt ask any more questions, which was cool.
