Stupid Neighbors....You all know what I mean

When I finally got my first combustion gun going, I took it out to an empty lot in our suburban, subdivision, nosy-neighbor, hell. I took it up on a dirt mound and aimed. CLICK, nothing. CLICK, nothing. CLICK, BOOOOOOOM![:0] The neighbors that thought I was just setting up there, messing with apples and PVC were suddenly terrified! Some guy came up and told me his kid was was out there playing(his kid was behind me in his yard) and that I should stop "launching apples so close" I thought about shooting one through his window or maybe up his a$$ just for being so stupid, but I didn't....should've though!

do u think using propane as a fuel would explode the chamber or something

When I first built mine, my friends dad took it and filled it with propane. He said it sounded like a howitzer going off. But propane is hard to ignite and I think it would produce dangerous pressures if you didn't know exactly what you were doing.

Sorry, I've had similar bad neighbors, and even a visit from the sherrif, but there is just no way I think it's ok to say that type of stuff.

Re: propane and pressures: Read a bit on the forum. MOST of the regulars in the combustion section use propane on a regular basis, and few have trouble igniting it. Pressures are no more than what you see with quality spray fuels. Check out the hybrid section if you want to see how safe a regular mix is, when used in a well-built gun.

My neighbors don't complain, my gun is so loud as to require muffs, and I haven't heard a single complaint.
