This looks like a decent cannon. Approximately how far can it shoot golfballs?

sch is just the wall thickness, so you must get pressure rated fittings, they two different things. Otherwise you might get some pretty silver and blue additions to your body in the form of schrapnel :? .

Sch 40 does not mean pressure rated, you can tell by the shape that your fittings are DWV. Be carefull taking that above 60 ish psi... and never use it in cold weather. Also as frankrede said, plastic ball valves kind of suck. If you can get a meral on it will be much easier and faster openeing, which will improve your performance.

It is pressure rated to more than 100 psi i think if it wasnt painted i would show you.As for the distance i dont know but its far and at 90 psi it can make a hole in half inch ply wood at close range.

We are talking about your fittings, not the actual pipe by the way.

How many fucking people does it take to tell you something? Get it though your head, your Wye is DWV, not pressure rated.

No problem, just trying to help you out, as harsh as I might be, excuse me.

Cut the Wye fitting off and replace it with a T and a 45* elbow if you still want that configuration. It is NOT Sch 40, as a matter of fact. DWV PVC fittings are now SDR 35, ABS is usually Sch 40.

actually i have seen sch-40 dwv too at home depot and it was solid wall and rated to at 200 psi for 2 inch but i still stay away from it. if you want to use wye's just make an abs gun and keep the psi below 60 then if you do take it up too high you wont actually kill yourself
