Ideally it should be (max pressure / atm pressure) x chamber volume but usually this figure gives a silencer far too large to be practical. Good work mtronic, the difference can really be heard in the video and I'm sure it's more pronounced hearing it "live".Yes it could have been a bit bigger, JSR recommends that it be the same volume as the chamber or more. But for me that wasn't practical.
My MBMR's silencer:) now with test video

8) thanks, yeah I recorded that on economy mode and with the compression for youtube its not quite the same as being there. Without suppression it will ecco down my vally but with the suppressor its about 40% quieter.

I fully reconsider my comment about the silencer being too big. After hearing how much quieter it is, it makes me want to make a gigantic silencer, maybe 3x the chamber size, or something like that to completely get rid of the noise

There is no such thing as a silencer that's too big for performance. It can be too big for carrying or storage, but not performance.Lentamentalisk wrote:I fully reconsider my comment about the silencer being too big.
Also, the bigger the gun, the bigger it needs to be
no it's not a hoax

Not random pics, I recognised a long time ago what brilliant potential the net had as a resource and used it to develop my interests accordinglyammosmoke wrote:Where do you get all these random pics anyways?

The explanation is in the caption here.
The M109 self-propelled howitzer is at a German test facility, fitted with a Schalldämpfer or "sound dampener" not with any military intentions (even though it's camoflauged) but to minimise the environmental impact of the noise of test firing.
Still, it does look like a massive cock eh? Talk about phallic symbols hehe
