you told that as if there were dozens of semiautos on spudfiles... :D
Ahh yes, but any gun with a fast enough compressor is a gravity feed clip can be semmi. And even then semis are also few and far between, but there are more of them then there are full autos(excluding bbmg)

but is there even one relatively powerful semiauto gun here ?? name one...

don't forget that you can build a marble fed fullauto cloud or vortex without any problem...

I think that BtB has the possibility to convert his gun to semiauto.... this way he could post some vids while he is still working on full auto version and that valve of his design...

Well...version 3 of the snapvalve failed...And I'm done trying the full auto piston thing.

I'm not giving up on full auto though.
I'm gonna go with what I know works.I will use the first MMG I made as an example.I will shorten the rise tube it had and I will have more flow and MUCH more pressure this time, and smaller, uniform .50 lead ammo.

The first one worked reasonable well, but was a bit bulky and just not powerful enough.

So instead of trying to build something new, it makes more sense to build what worked in the first place, but this time with all the stuff that one should have had..

Boy...I'm not making sense am I?

One of the many perils of spudguns. I've never made a piston gun that I've been totally happy with....Something always gives way or breaks after a couple of days of heavy shooting... Making the pump and discovering high pressures just makes things shit themselves even faster.... But I am using small bore after all.... Anything over 12mm is a bit easier to work with :D

Best of luck with the build mate.

Curious... I've always been wondering on where the hell you got that ball valve you used for ya riot gun....It's very, very odd...

I got it at a store...

It is a brass compression fitting-BV commonly used around fire hoses in buildings in my country.
They came in handy to connect all sorts of stuff while the main "system remained the same.
I can get a lot of odd stuff, not all, but some of those things are quite usefull for spudding.
The great thing is, I don;t need BV's like that any more now I can pretty much tap every thing myself.

I have a design in mind for the revived-and-improved MMG.I have finished the rise tube and ammo feed set up and the pressure lines to power it.
Notice I did not say barrel...

That..will have to wait until I got permission from the pregnant boss :D
She somehow feels it's not a priority..
Women
Anyway..that will not be a problem, just need to get some ( common around here) 15 mm copper.
The principle is to have the ammo follow the constant airstream, not unlike a cloud.
The difference will be the pressure used ( 40 bar) and improved flow.
I believe the Girandoni rifle already prooved what 40 bar behind a big lead ball can do over two centuries ago.

It didn't work very well.I had to pump the trigger to get it to work and got 1 shot every 2 seconds.
THey were powerfull shots nonetheless, but not what I was after.

I continued the deathray-series with an "airsoft"-machine pistol-strafer at 500-900 psi.
Pretty scary result....
