I was speaking on their behalf, not mine :D

@BtB

This idea of yours seems so ingenious and easy to make, yet i'm not sure what I could use it on.

You've given me alot to think about, thanks :)

Oh dear, here we go again down the alternate uses path

*sigh*

You could try an epoxy plug, but if excess pressure builds up it could turn into a projectile in its own right, think champage cork hehe

:D

anyway BTB I think your gun is great not only becasue it is a fullauto and you build your own popoff valve.... but becasue you use high pressure..... are all those pipes and fittings stell/brass or copper....? I suppose it is a mixture of all... but any comments on materials used or more details would be nice....

I have removed the picture of the snapvalve, because I'm planning to start a small "custom shop" and this will be one of the products I plan to offer.I plan to sell QEV's ( not available otherwise in Holland), Pressure rated PVC, custom made 2" Piston valves ( 25 bar)

No complete cannons, just the parts nobody can get hold of or is unable to build themselves.I also want to give advise.I think I'm pretty much the authority on spudguns in holland, and I have made and tested every kind of pneumatic one can imagine, so at 32 years of age I now feel I am done and need to go big.

Time for the next step
Think Spudtech, but smaller and specialised in high pressure metal parts and special PVC parts such as bolts and huge valves.

To help give this a chance:
I want to ask all who know how to make my snapvalve to keep details to yourself.
You have my permission to build and use your own as long as you keep the insides a secret
( among friends)
In the future I hope to buy a metal lathe so I can build some REALLY special parts And make the end pruduct work and look 100%
Hope you guys will support me in this endevour
OCC started somewhere too

good idea..... provided you'll find customers......

Generaly i like the idea that someone would start manufacturing real high pressure valves and equipment specially designed for spudding.....

Are there really enough people in holland to buy your pruducts.... ? I mean people that are into spudguns ?

think europe, there is quite a few uk spudders and you never now JSR might give up on his full auto projects and order a snap valve and i would definitly buy one :D

NOOOOoooo!!! The picture! NOOOOoooooo... :x
Gah, I was wondering if I should save the picture to my computer, but i didn't. I get the concept, but you already found workable parts. PM me the pic please? :D Or at least the name of the secret part?

No chance of me buying one, I'm in the USA. I assume you have the knowhow to make an online store?

Shall I take your orders?? hahaha

I plan to take it as it comes.I won't build up a giant stock unless I am forced to.

A lot of Dutch people have contacted me about pressure rated PVC and QEV's.If I have one costumer a YEAR I 'd be happy.I won't quit my dayjob just yet...

It is simply not available unless you have your own business, or, like me work at a hardware retailer. Only proffessionals can buymost spudgun related products and still there are only a handfull of distribiteurs in Holland. And all of them ask you what will you be using this for!?!?! Why do you need this??
Really nice..NOT
I would be helping a lot of people by making 'em available WITH ADVICE , to spudgunlovers, from a spudgun...maniac!

And yes...the whole of Europe could potentially buy from me.As long as they pay for shipping.

So who is going to supply you with cheap QEVs and pressure rated PVC?

You want to know if I wear ladies underwear too??!?!

Who said I was cheap muhahaha

Well do ya? :D

I imagined a father of almost two children would be slightly on the cheaper side of life

I spose the British can get their QEVs cheap, so can you. But Pressure rated PVC is another thing, are fittings more expensive then in America?

Posted: Thu Jan 10, 2008 4:01 pm
by Brian the brain
Well...American pvc might get a bit too pricey...I;d have to include the price of a plane ticket

I haven't got a clue.

Well going off prices in NZ, 4" fittings range about $40NZD, or 20euro, just wondering if you have similar prices because some customers may not understand why parts they buy from you are so expensive.

Though I do see a lot of work from dongfang, he's in Europe somewhere and uses PVC alot.
