Was the chamber just galvanized steel nipple?

I wouldn't call it a nipple, just a short piece of threaded galvanised pipe.

May I ask how you kept it stable in the chamber? I am running into in problems in my cannon. If you would could you click the link in my sig?

Yeah mate the link is there. At that size, I don't use a barrel support. The grip from the comp fitting is enough to hold it in place.

This little gun will never live again with that configeration. The pilot is just huge. I've modded a ball valve into a trigger system with a galvanised long bend at the back, like a grip. It's like BTB's system. It couldn't be any better. I've got it hooked up to my long 8mm and the power is just crazy....

I'll have to post it soon.

EDIT! With the larger bb gun's, I cut off a 20mm long piece of 1/2'' copper piper and hammer it into an oval, so it's tight enough to hold the pipe in the one spot, and it's flair out enough to take the gap inside the chamber. Hope this helps mate.

Yah that last thing seems like a good idea, Earilier I was drilling a hole in a 1/2" copper to try to keep the barrel stable, since I don't own a drill press at this house so I had to hold it, My finger slipped and my hand and cit my thumb up pretty bad. Pff.. I think I will just make one out of epoxy putty.

Ah it's hard to say. I recycled alot of the parts over the years but 40-50 I'm guessing. Not a great deal concidering that the commerical high pressure pumps are 120+ bucks and can't go past 260psi :D

I just used 20mmx15mm compression fittings for the 20mm copper chamber body (20mm part of the comp fitting is to clamp the pipe, the 15mm side is male). 1x 15mm m/f/m Tee. For the check valve, I used a a spring, a bolt and an O ring. I stuck a washer with an O-ring under it in the female part of the Tee, (it narrows right off so the washer won't fall through into the Tee, it's a nice snug fit. The O-ring makes a perfect seal without having to use epoxy) When you stick the washer and o-ring into the tee, you use the male end of the comp fitting and screw it in tight into the tee. That squeezes the o-ring agaisnt the Tee wall and the washer to make a air tight seal that can hold at 400+ psi. The Piston head is just 20x 1/4'' washers, (I think thats the size....If not, just look at ya local hardware for the right size) A meter of 1/4'' threaded rod cut to size as the shaft, and a size 10 O-ring to make the seal and ofcourse a couple of nuts.
