can somebody post a link to a web site that explains burst disks?
I understand combustions, pneumatic ball and selanoid valves but not this one

anyway a burst disk is a piece of material(usally plastic froma milk bottle)that keeps air from escaping into the barrel but when the pressure is too much the material will break firing the gun. The material can be held in place using unions. So if you had say 3 layers of plastic held in a union where a normal valve will be at a certain pressure the plastic will rip open and let the air through,so its trial and error to get the pressure you want before it breaks. Only bad thing with burst disks are they can be a pain and sometimes 'rip' instead of breaking open,the rip lets minimal air through and constricts flow so you may have to trial certain materials for best resualts.
