6mm piston launcher

Nothing special and not much to look at really, a metre long 6mm brass barrel, section of steel water pipe as a chamber, schrader fill/pilot valve and as always, plenty of epoxy :) something like this but with the seal on the piston as opposed to the barrel.

I hope to add a decent trigger to this one though, now that my rifles are elsewhere I need something powerful I can actually aim :D

No videos for now, I did have one of the dashboard cleaner (dashboard cleaner?!?! wtf! it deserved to be shot!) getting high but the blast from the half full aerosol knocked my cellphone over hehe. I'll make some decent ones in time.

Pretty darn decent penetration!

Great entry hole!

** pushes wife away---NOT YOU!!**
:D
BTW, full auto is a success for me and I will post the vid in the
full auto revealed thread shortly.

With your epoxy skills I'm sure you can do something with it.

i love the look of your epoxy'd creations because there are no ugly fittings sticking out which makes them look really clean :)

You dirty man BTB :P . Nice lil toy JSR. But damn. I use dashboard cleaner (I made mine custom from fiberglass and sheetmetal though  ). Nice work JSR

... a a a a nd in true JSR style, it's stopped working. Last time I fired it there was a "pop" noise while I was filling, I'm guessing the seal has somehow been dislodged, and now the piston won't seal. Out comes the hacksaw again

Hacked/chiselled off the back end and took a look at the piston, as I suspected the rubber syringe seal had torn off and left the barrel after I fired. I added a new seal, this time secured with a screw and held down with araldite, hopefully that will do the job. Videos to follow if it's more durable now ;)

'scuse the double post but yay, fixed it :D

Here's a shot at a row of four beercans filled with water using a 0.12 gram airsoft BB, it went clean through the first two but just dented the third. Not bad for a lightweight plastic BB though :)

(poor lighting 'cause it's past 11 here, background noise because the garden sprinkler pump is working. How I've resisted the temptation to "salvage" the six valves which control them is beyond me!)

Now, to prove reliability then fit a proper grip and trigger :)

Another small update, added a grip made from a conveniently shaped piece of discarded chair, and a simple thumb trigger to make it more comfortable to fire. I was planning something a little more elaborate and conventionally operated but it's frustrating without my workshop so I went for ghetto, simple but functional :)

Nice, but Might I suggest something like this to make it look mor realistic, you could make it for about 5-10 bucks, and will make it look 100000% better.

Not too worried about aesthetics to be honest, this project will be discarded by the end of the year anyway - I just want something I can use. In that regard, iron sights of some description will definitely be fitted, as well as a barrel shroud to stiffen things up and act as an integral suppressor :)

No particular use in mind, I just feel wierd living in a house without guns  and an airsoft glock doesn't quite cut it
