Just thought I would be "politically" correct with the title.

This is my latest project, it is a launcher designed to shoot paintballs at 450 feet per second and still bet a decent number of shots out of the air tank. It is a simple bolt action paintball launcher with a small slit in the barrel with a small piece of bike inner tube in it to keep paintballs from rolling out of the barrel when the launcher is aimed downward.

I had the idea of using a pressure switch to turn on a LED that would warn me when the pressure in my air reservoir drops below a certain point. My compressor decided that it didn't want to work any more, so I took it apart and used the pressure switch from it. The pressure switch is 70 PSI on, 100 PSI off, so I designed the chamber for the launcher so that it will shoot approximately 450 FPS @ 70 PSI.

I am not completely finished with this launcher, there are a number of things I want to do to improve it, such as a magazine and a paint job.

EDIT: I tried to upload a few more pics but it won't work, I will try again later.

I think it acts like a ball detent just like on a regular paintball marker. It holds the paintball in place so it can roll down the barrel.

This is pretty awesome. I really like the "low pressure indicator".

Good job with the overall clean-ness as well!

Nice i like it. Just a thought for you and anyone outthere building a gun with bolt action, i'm working on one right now and i found at kragen auto parts these great little pull bolts for car door locks, they're threaded on the inside so you would just need another bolt that can thread in there and you have yourself a nice looking bolt with some grip too. Just one way to help make things look neat, i am big on presentation. Nice gun though i like the low pressure indicator, never seen that before.
