Well, here in Prescott AZ (Not far from you at all) Copper is reasonable at these sizes. Of course reasonable is different from income to income. This cannon cost me a total of around 40 bucks, though some things were free due to me being a carpenter(blow gun, wood for the stock, and scope as my brothers are really into hunting)

That Is Intense.

It is also huge, why didnt you just make the chamber a slightly larger diameter, and shorten the barrel? then it would have been a normal length but pretty much the same power.

Great stock, i tried to make one,

it failed.

In all honesty, the stock was an afterthought. I had the cannon done and then I decided, "it would look cool with a stock on it".

Had I planned it from the beginning, it would have turned out much more proportional.

Proportional or not, I think it looks great. Major kudos Jook. I would imagine you could get well over 400 yards with that barrel.

Actually, it kind of looks like a musket!

VERY nice gun.....

I actually thought that was real. Be careful with that Lil bugger......

my only complaint is the blowgun trigger. Any possibilities of making that a little more "trigger" like?

Anyway, Really nice gun. I'm jealous.

You could Theoreticaly just move the whole system back and have a Mock trigger which pushes the actual trigger through a rod. so bassicly like a bull pup. (has been stated before)

I know there are things I could do to make it better, there are always things that could improve on all of our designs. I am happy with it and have already moved on to bigger and better things (MUCH bigger... heheh. look at the "In the World of Spuds Today thread for the tease of a damage video").

I did order some of those musket balls that will fit nicely so that should be fun for when they arrive...
