Nice. Judging by the guide rod, I'd say it's an inlet (chamber) sealing valve. It would definitely benefit more from a larger pilot valve than a similarly dimensioned outlet (barrel) sealing valve, in my humble opinion.

Maybe pilot it with a smaller 1" sprinkler valve.

yea it is a chamber sealing and yes i will be upgrading to a bigger pilot, 3/4" qev to be precise

It does seem like you're catching more than your share doesn't it.

I think it's fine. It fits in the boot of your car, and it works.

Can't have any fun with it if you can't get the damn thing out of the house, now can you?

I seem to remember this being a hobby,...aren't hobbys supposed to be fun?

Good job! :thumbleft: :thumbleft:

here is a quick unedited no sound POS vid of my shot about 10mins ago it was with 60psi propane from 10m, ammo was a looseish fitting potato with no wadding. target is a choc milk 2L carton filled with water.

watch till the end ot shows the damage, start watching at 0.40 its 5 secs before the shot.

Out of curiosity, how is it in terms of noise? I would imagine that with a 2 - 2.5" barrel it isn't too loud, everyone in the thread seems to have forgotten than smaller chambers mean more efficient and quieter launchers.

its actually rather quiet compared to my 1.5" porter piston gun. Its quiet enough that i can manage a couple of shots in suburbia and not get noise complaints lol i will record a new vid with sound soon enough
