Looking extremely nifty there, all it needs is a cheapo scope sleeved with some polished brass tubing et voila, steampunk sniper!

Not just any brass tubing though. We all know that the scope is the most complicated part of a steampunk rifle... The little adjustment knobs must be linked to all sorts of gears and spinning windigs.

That looks really dang cool! 8) I contemplated building a hammer-triggered multi-shot piston gun, but I never could get reliable re-seating from a piston. That's going to be one heck of a gun when you get it working; and it already looks the part!

The basic components work.The hammer works, the valve works, it fires a powerful shot when I hit the valve with an actual hammer..The tool I mean.Y'all know what I mean by powerful, right...?

I just haven't tuned this hammer to this hammer valve.

But that is not a problem.It's only down to the hammer weight now.

I won;t be adding a scope any time soon.I need a very good deal on one, else it's just iron ( well brass) sights.

All are recycled parts, yard sale finds and gifts.Even the lacquer was free..

The only money I spent on it was for the hammer-axle....Like a couple of cents...and I had to buy a wood plane..A cheap one at that.
Oh and the Tee..oh well...

Pictures of the assembled gun so far.I need to smoothen the new heavier hammer...

I tested the gun at 200 psi and got 15 shots out of it.Above 200 psi the lightweight hammer could not actuate the QEV.

Hence the heavier hammer.
I did manage to blast through a powerdrill casing though..200 psi out of a long barrel still does some damage.But no BTB kind of damage..

Heavier hammer is as of yet, not tested.
I'm quite convinced it's enough for 300 psi at least.
The goal is 600 nevertheless..No I might need a stronger spring, or an additional one..The number of shots I got from just 200 already makes this a fun gun to shoot.The first 5 shots seem highly consistent...

Man, that looks like one of the only ones on here that would look nice on a wall, (depending on taste).

BTW, Forgot to mention in my long reply yesterday that my brass BFB design would be threaded (from the inside) into a reducer bushing inside a larger diameter "T" fitting. The piston should fit inside the "T" sealing to the back of the BFB and epoxy or something to create the piston seat along with the back of the BFB.
The chamber will go on the bottom of the "T"
Should be pretty sleek.
I'm trying to remember to photo everything permanent before it goes together.
Just need to make sure the cast looking brass "T" can handle the pressure range I want.
Still don't know if a co2 pistol will pilot for a 3/4 or roughly 1 inch piston at 800+ psi (or QEV?), but I did notice a few models with "Blow back" moving slides (thus lighter trigger pull).

I'm not sure, not that hick though.
Probably 1.5 mm.
Imagine the French use this as a pressurevessel...

It was the only thing around I could destroy,....well...I've got some furniture board, but that's hardly impressive.

Today I'll test her some more.

the damage was done by the 4th and 7th shot...all from one chamberfilling...Just think about all the potential a single shot gun wastes!!

Moederneuker, it works too! not only is it a successfull multishot but also one of the most aesthetically pleasing launchers I've seen on this site, kudos.
