I was wondering if this design would solve the issues of your sealing rubber getting ripped off. Instead of the bolt sealing against that piece of rubber glued to the T would it be better to have an O ring on the bolt and have the bolt sink inside the brass T up until the black stoppers.
This valve reminds of Girodanis (sp??) guns alot.

Yeh sure it would work, and fix the problem of the rubber face being ripped off but how do you intend on creating thoes black stoppers?

No big issue but the O-ring would have to be a good fit, too big theres a chance that could be blown out or has a hard time closing fast enough. Too small and you'll struggle with the seal.

Well im pretty sure he can make a perfect fit since he has a lathe ( im asuming he does otherwise idk how he made that bolt) but the stopper could easily be something like a + welded right on top of the bolt. If you guys want another diagram I can draw one up really quick.

Sorry for possible double post. The part I added is a brass cap that has a big hole drilled through it so that you can strike the bolt yet it stops it from being blown out by the pressure. By tightening or loosening the cap you can adjust the striking force that is needed.

Girandoni..

It is in essence the same valve..
So is the one in the humble blowgun...

Nope...a drill press will spin a bolt just fine.
A file and some sandpaper do the rest..

Can't ask for a better compliment!!
