The honk isn't from the cannon itself firing. Some reason when filling it honks fast and is fine from there out. Thanks for the comments again. I've been having trouble with finding time to get it out to shoot/ take pics, sorry.

From looking at your pics, it's most likely the sprinkler valve honking on initial fill. This is common as the air tends to lift the diaphragm until enough pressure makes it through the eq port to seal it tight. A slower fill shouldn't honk.
