HP large bore V2

The original thread here showcased a compact large bore spudgun with high-pressure/semi-auto capabilities. Its been such a consistently fun cannon, so I decided it deserved some cool upgrades. Pneumatically, all I added was a 600psi pressure gauge, and a larger slide valve+lower pilot volume, but cosmetically, it got a huge re-paint that in my honest opinion looks totally badass.

The specs are in the previous thread, all thats changed is it now sports a 3/8" slide valve, and a few extra barrels. the barrel in the pictures is 1-1/2". also, the chamber is supposed to be tiger-striped, how did I do?

Looks beast... nice job with the paint. Have you taken it higher than 200 psi?

I took it to 250 on thanksgiving; it was ear-splittingly loud! and at it seamed nearly twice as powerful than at 200

Sweet, bet it can do some damage *hint hint*

Once you have a cam-lock fitting, you can boost performance easily by simply adding a disk that will allow the QEV to open further before air reaching the projectile, however in practice I doubt you would see that big an improvement.

With flow from the valve being limited to 25% of the barrel diameter though, every little helps ;)

It looks excellent. Once in a while I see something that is inline with my own taste and this cannon hits the mark for me. The metal chamber construction, design layout, higher than normal pressure capabilities combined with the nice paint job make this cannon sweet in my opinion.

Awesome paint job!

Have you considered getting a smaller barrel (marbles?) so that your valve does not restrict flow so much?

Are you considering a magazine or some-such to take advantage of the semi-auto capabilities? It's a bit pointless with a muzzle loading gun.

Thanks for the praise on the paint, it was a lot of work, but it paid off for sure.
I will be getting some damage pictures soon, but I've got a lot on my plate atm.
I do have smaller barrels, and I could make a loading mech, but without a compressor, it'd be pretty useless
