for those who remember about august i was asking for any ideas for confetti cannons for my nephews "show choir" well i made them when i was visiting him in december and have been waiting for a good video of them.
the video is from a competition (which they won 1st place)
btw the schools they compete against started rumors that the confetti cannons cost them $3000. that just makes me kick back and laugh.

now to business;
there are two confetti cannons with 3/4 sprinkler valves that are wired to a control bow with an "arming" switch for safety and a "fire" button.
the barrels are 2.5 feet of 1.5inch pvc
the air chambers ride below the air chambers with a pvc support on the end and are also 2.5 feet of 1.5 inch pvc
attached to the end of the barrel is a string 4 feet long made out of some mixture of steel and fishing line which is attached to a cloth wad that helps fling the confetti out.
the two cannons fill the 100X50ft stage with confetti and reach 25 in the air.

sorry this is the best video i could find pictures soon!! the camera doest show the confetti the best but in person it is amazing. SKIP TO NEAR THE END OF THE VIDEO FOR CONFETTI

when i tested them in there infant life i used 10 nerf balls in each barrel. that put a new definition to the term "nerf"
