Hi,

You obviously have some infatuation with "assassinating" and killing. We don't welcome discussion about hunting or shooting at living beings with homemade spud/air/any weapon here, purely due to the bad light it can cast on our hobby. Please don't try do anything stupid- keep hunting related discussion off the forums and if you want to hunt, buy a firearm or suitable hunting weapon. Don't do it with a improvised low pressure homemade airgun.

Secondly, please think very hard about taking that to 1000 psi- I wouldn't trust many parts of it to hold up. A few hundred is all I could possibly ever feel safe putting in that, and I've done some VERY dangerous things.

Welcome to SpudFiles.

[the reason we do say a lot of stuff like this is because it is a very dangerous hobby! honestly all you need to do is look at some of the dangers of this elaborate hobby to see how many ways you could possibly kill yourself or others.

We don't mean to piss you off or be too serious, but if say you were to kill something or hurt yourself then this site would probably have one hell of a lot of bad light cast upon it and consequently might be shut down. :(

Also we are saying a lot of this stuff too keep you alive and well, when I was a noob I tried to make a combustion air rifle, it went seriously wrong and I ended up having no skin on one side of my thumb for a few weeks, what you are considering I by all means approve that you want to build a powerful gun, all we are trying to do here is say don't be an idiot and remember to be careful, because if built with only one tiny flaw you are essentially holding a air grenade. :)
We aren't trying to tell you what to do, we are trying to make sure you don't kill yourself. :D
Good luck on your build.

Edit by MrCrowley.
The Quakenbush is a professionally manufactured, large caliber, RIFLED, high pressure airgun pumping out 500 ft lbs. One of the biggest keywords here is rifled- your gun won't practically be accurate at any kind of distance. Also, it's unlikely to have the shot to shot repeat ability that a true firearm will have. These are your biggest downfalls with it, and it is not humane or safe to hunt with it. Don't blacken our hobby because you get your jollies by killing animals for no good reason (you don't strike me as being a hunter, just someone who has an odd obsession with killing, or "assassinating" as you put it).

Tone down on your ramblings about killing things and stop your childish pursuits to push your gun to limits it could very well be incapable of, and you'll get much better feedback.
