You need to use a compressor, a bike pump will not work. I dont know how much exacly, but you need a certain amount of pressure to get the Q E V to seal!! EDIT Can we see a close up of that q e v????

I think I see your problem. You may have a leak in one of the joints, but another problem may be that your schrader valve is leaking and letting the valve pilot.

what would u recommend to do?
change the valve?

I am assuming you have a bath tub. Fill it with water, and fill the gun up with water and place it in the water. Look for leaks and let us know where. If you have a tripod, video tape it so we can see as well.

EDITED Try switching the blowgun part to the other side, it could be backwards!!

I trust that you mean "fill the gun with AIR"???

I think you should remove the piston from the qev and inspect it and the piece you remove (the seat) for damage.

@ Matty... the blowgun is correctly installed.

Yes, Gippeto, thats what I mean. Sorry. I have had a long day. I suppose filling it with water then filling it with air would also solve the problem. You would find your leak at least.

Quick exhaust valves should generally seal at pressures between 10-15 psi, as warhead052 has mentioned. You should identify the leaks, then we could possibly identify the problem.

I think your pilot is far to big also, even if its not whats causing it, you should cut down the size, you will see a performance increase.

with a real QEV like he has you can fill them with a shock pump you don't need a compressor.

my Qevs seal with lung pressure 2-3psi, i think you have something on the barrel port seal(seat) open it up and give it a clean.

Are you sure you have the ports correct? you could be filling from the barrel which would open the qev enter the chamber then out the pilot which you could have set up as the barrel.

put it in water so you can see where it leaks fix it and try again qev's are really sensitive so no leaks is advised
