This is my new design of the Semi auto golf ball cannon. The valve was designed with the help from a few people, especially Gun freak, so thanks for the help. It uses a 3" tank that is 2' long. it is threaded into the valve, so I can change it out for something smaller of larger if I want. It is using a 1.5" threaded barrel, so I can interchange them as I please. The valve is a 2" piston valve, with 1.5" porting. I have yet to shoot it, but as soon as I do, the footage will be up. and when I get some time it will get a much needed paint job.

Why is there primer on the outside of the male adapter

Erm... why did you use the 2"x1.5" reducer? It is supposed to be a bushing...

Looking good otherwise.

yeah, I primed everything first, and realized I primed the outside as well, oh well it is getting painted anyways, and I couldn't find a bushing while shopping, so I went with this, and the reducer wont make any difference, since it is still pressure rated

Nice job man! In my opinion, primer stains are a good thing cuz you know you got a good seal. What are you using for a piston and bumper?? Lemme guess, bolt and washer piston and a half a tennis ball???

Going by the short socket depth, I'm gonna say the opposite.

It is actually pressure rated, I made sure before I bought it, i know it may not look like it, but it is actually made for use in high pressures

I don't mean to be anal but are you sure it says NSF-PW on the fitting? If it says Sch40, it doesn't necessarily mean it is pressure rated as Sch40 is not a pressure rating system.

Just checking, nice cannon by the way

Yes, I am 100% positive that the reducer in question is pressure rated, and yes it does say NSF-PW, and thanks, I am also a big fan of your work

Thanks, yeah copper is expensive, I would like to build a copper gun sometime, so that I can ramp up the pressure a bit more, but for now PVC is inexpensive and I am still learning, I think my next gun will either be an oxy/propane, or a coaxial, but not sure yet

With care it is possible to prime the joint without having excess primer on the pipe. It does need you to mark the pipe where the primer is to stop and care applying it.

I wasn't too worried about the primer since I am going to paint it anyway, and I wanted to make sure that it seals perfect, i didn't feel like risky safety for cosmetic appeal

i wish we had pressure rated pvc over here in thailand... im misssing my co-ax i made over summer in the states :(
nice cannon btw and i wouldn't worry about the fittings. after all pvc cement does literally bond the two pieces together
