I have uploaded a new video of me shooting this air gun at its max rate of fire - which is 600 rounds per minute.

Damn...

A SA/FA AA-battery gun has always been like one of my dream guns. Although after seeing the Nitron with its ball bearings... I'd probably go that route... plus it would be easier to adapt an existing paintball architecture to it.

I saw you initially posted this for shooting paintballs - did you post it on pbnation in the custom section? They'd get a kick out of it - its surprisingly simple yet one of the best full auto executions I've seen on here.

I haven't been active on that site for a few years now, but there was always a lot of people trying to do what you have done - they would usually make something sub-standard in power to what a simple "advanced" pneumatic on here can achieve. You've outdone everything I've ever seen on there done with "PVC" lol.

Now you just need to get your ROF north of 20 RPS and get a force fed loader on there for paintballs, or spring fed for AA's.

Automag was the first big blowfoward bolt design like most people use on here, and their mechanical system, albeit a bit more advanced than yours, could achieve a very high ROF. I bet with a better air supply you can too!

I could increase the ROF by using the smaller tank i have on hand, but i would lose a lot of power.

I could also decrease the firing PSI down from 80 psi to 40 - but again id lose a lot of power.

There is something else i could try... but i risk blowing up the sprinkler valve - As i'm firing the gun, i can increase the regulator to allow a running pressure of over 100 PSI. But i think that would require the compressor's regulator to be set at somewhere around 160 PSI which would kill my sprinkler valve if i were to stop firing the gun. I have done it before and it sounded like a motorcycle.

I fire my sprinkler valve at 125PSI quite regularly. Mine is a cheap offbeat valve too. I wouldn't go any above 125 though.

Nor should you as they are rated at 125 psi =D

WOW. that might be one of the best executed examples of full auto on this site... thought about using stabilized projectiles at all? maybe you could use some pipe with the same dimensions as a AA but fill the tip with lead. Maybe pointed....

Thanks! I am thinking about making another one... that can handle soda cans.

In fact i have been thinking of using wooden pegs as the projectile - and thinking of the different ways i could stabilize that.
