So I couldn't think of a cooler name....

With summer coming up, I felt the overwhelming desire to build something that I hadn't really ever ventured into... a paintball gun.

When I started with this design, I had a relative idea of what I wanted, and about 20 bucks later.... I came up with this...

<img src="http://img.mypicgallery.com/pbsniper/pbsniper-002.jpg">

I can't really remember the length of the chamber, around 8 inches I do believe, so the barrel is about 16-18 inches in length. The chamber is 1.5 diameter, and the barrel is .75 CPVC, naturally.

The schrader valve is temporary untill I hook up my CO2 system and get the bolt action up and running.

Now, onto the bolt action. It will basically be a tee, with a epoxy cast bolt (taking after FMJ [:D]) and a spring. The bolt will be bored out.. yadda yadda yadda

Now for more pics...

When you fill it to shoot does it make a Farting type noise?

My Mini paintball gun has a 4" of 1" chamber and a 16" 3/4" CPVC barrel...
When I fill it up it goes to 100 psi about instantly, but air leaks out of my 1" Orbit Watermaster for about 1/2 second and if theirs a ball in the barrel it pushes it out...

I was trying to make a semi-auto, but since it pushes out the balls it's too hard...

Do you think it's because it pressures so fast and cant equalize the pressure above\below the diphragm?

Nice gun man, I love the paintjob :D

Drac, I'm curious, that dosn't look like paint to me because the shape looks a bit distorted.Did you cover it in something?

Yeah the chamber looks a bit on the wiggely side.
Nice gun though. Try using 1/2" SDR-13.5 sometime though for PBs. Perfect fit, light, and cheaper than 3/4" CPVC.You don't need wadding either and it won't roll out if you put a little tiny dab of PVC glue at the beginning of the barrel.

The gun is resting on an angle in that picture... notice the block of wood on the right.

Frogy, you need a bigger chamber. That's wayyyy too small. Because it takes so little for that chamber to fill, it doesn't give the diaphragm enough time to equalize.

Noname, I looked for SDR 13.5 1/2 inch at Lowes, but they didn't have it. So I naturally went with CPVC 3/4. If I do find the SDR, I will jump at the opportunity.

Thanks for the comments, keep em coming.

Well I knew that was my problem, I just wanted to know if it happened to anyone else, I'm going to Home-Depot anyway to get electrical conduit for our pool pumps line because ours ruptured...

I'm going to buy a few 1" end caps (I suck at drilling holes :D), a 1" Male, and sine 1/2" caps for PVC rockets for my 1" Barrel...

I will also be making a Mini combustion that goes 1" to 1/2" for AA's

You should check out a drill press when your at HD, it makes drilling so much easier. :D

I don't have an extra $300 :D

I can drill holes fine in everything but a layer thick PVC... This time I'll go through the male adapter and 2 layers.... I'm going to make it long enough so the gun has a stock-like design with these parts:

Here's my concept...

Check this one out it's only $89.99

I'm not saying you suck at drilling I'm just saying that a drill press is well worth the money.

Jeez carl, how much free time do you have? You registered like less then a month ago you're already staff sergeant.
Looks like a good design frogy but where are you going to find an angle bigger than a 45 and smaller than a 90?

Frogy, my craftsman 10 inch with Laser Guidance (no kidding, it really does have it!) cost me approixmatly 108 dollars with tax, and it performs brilliantly!

The one provided by carlbelcher is indeed a good one also, I trust Harbor Freight for most of my tool purchases (well, actually my parent's purchases, because I use their money  ).

As to your stock idea, I suggest you run the chamber and barrel parallel to each other like I did with this gun...

Oooh, a breech loading paintball gun shoulds sweet, nice gun also Drac...

I wanted to make the stock so it's about shoulders length and it being the whole chamber...

Noname, the elbows I brew are very shitty, they're really going to be different than what I drew....

:D Breech loaders are fun except mine is way longer than it needs to be and is only "sealed" with duck tape.
Also frogy, I would advise using 45s to make a stock, rectangular stocks are slightly on the uggo side. :D
