I have built and check this compressed air cannon with plumbing parts. It is suited for high pressures.

Any idea of the maximum pressure it could stand safely?

Cool gun! I would feel comfortable holding that thing with 500 psi in it, and that is a conservative estimate. With a little fridge compressor and a spring-loaded mechanism on that ball valve you will notice a HUGE power increase.

Please post some pictures of your air cannon and also give some specs if you wouldn't mind. For those of us who don't have youtube access. Thanks in advance.

Very nice first effort, but now you need a new valve ;)

You can fit a spring to your existing valve:

An exhaust type valve will be faster though, and you can get onecommercially very cheaply: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/semi-au ... 23626.html
