Hmmm... that would work. Anyone know of a cheap high pressure pump I can get to fill an HPA tank? And for that matter, where in the world do you get an HPA regulator?

This is one of the cheapest pumps around:

It's quite an effort to take a tank manually to 3000 psi though.

As to regulation, paintball tanks normally output 850 or so psi. With some tanks like those made by ninja, you can lower that further to around 450 psi.

For PVC though you would need to go down even further, and Palmers' Pursuit is the go-to brand: http://palmer-pursuit.com/cart/regulato ... mr0f9uvlm0

Well, I got some parts to finish this thing off. A 5 gal air tank and regulator for a backpack air supply. Had some piston problems, fixed that and now should be up and running soon.

Tested with new air tank and regulator. With tank at 70 PSI and regulator set to 50, I got about 30 shots at 50 PSI. 70-80 PSI is the butter zone that I found, so with the air tank pressurized to 100 psi and the reg set to 75 PSI, I should be able to get about 40 shots off at 75 PSI.
