kinda off topic, but I found a local place that can custom make o-rings for almost any pressure applications in almost any size. and my mom's friend has a nice big metal lathe, so my piston valve is getting o-rings

Squeaks you are lost in a crazy dream. No offense but nobody cares if you think they should release whats in their valves because they're not going to. They make money off them and they worked really hard on them so why would they just tell you how to make one when they had to figure it out for themselves. And schmanman thats way off topic.

I'm not lost in a dream, merely stating the opinion that I think it would be beneficial to their business if they told what was in them BUT not how to make it. I list of the features their valve has such as o-ring, equalization method, sealing face material/thickness, piston travel distance, pilot volume, ggdt flow coeficient, piston construction materials(not how to make it thoug), etc.

that's exactly like asking for a result in an exam!!! the others work hard to have their exam you just get in here, know nothing but small rememberings from the lessons, and you ask for results....hahaha lmao the others wont simply give'em to you, and contrarly to what you can say, it's not egoism, it's profit in it's good form.that's what's making their job unique.

To use the cola-cola analogy again, that's like asking Coke to explain why their product is better than supermarket brand cola.

You know it is, so don't ask why, because it's trade secrets.

If most of us knew what was in them (and most of us could guess anyway), then we could build them in an instant (assuming we could get the components and use a lathe) - although, I assume that we (as "experienced" spudders) are not the most likely buyers anyway.

It's not that I don't wany you to know what I use, it's that I don't want people who can also mass-produce these to know how I do it.

I have no problem releasing specific data useful for GGDT because THAT information is what would be beneficial to the sales because they are some pretty impressive numbers.

Yeh even with the knowledge of how a mauler or supah valve worked I would never be able to get it as precise as Gort or Joel, I don't think there is many on this site who could. If anyone needs to know that badly try and design your own and perfect them until they are similar to those of the mauler or supah valves.

I never looked at it that way. It makes sense, but now that I do mention it, what are the numbers for the GGDT for the Mauler and the Supah?
