wow probly the best paint job i have seen i a while! are bolt on shrader valves just threded if so where did you get em i have to glue mine in

What do you mean by threaded? You mean the part where you connect the pump to has threads, or the part connecting to the cannon? The schraders are just like normal ones except they are attached via a bolt system (no they are not threaded into the cannon) instead of forcing them into a hole and gluing them there.

I hate bike pumps. It's not that they're too hard to use, it's just that every single one I've bought so far broke after a week or so of use. Only kind I really like is the Husky ones you get at Home Depot. They work for ages if you keep their output pressure low. I tried taking them up to 300 PSI, and you get problems there.

Oh, and BTW, nice cannon! A 2" sprinkler valve is a great valve to use if one does not know how to build piston valves yet. Hope you stick around some until you do learn how to build one!

EDIT: and the Schrader valves we usually get from Wal-Mart or Auto-Zone aren't glued in. They have a round bottom that tapers into the stem, and they have a "bead" at the top that you pull through a 1/2" hole until it snaps in place.

If you want to connect these via pipe threads, I usually just trim off the bottom of the valve a little, place them through a 1/2" compression nut, and then tighten them into place.

i jut searched both auto zone and walmart and other stores web sites and couldnt fin individual schraders any where what i did last time is just bought a bike tire and cut it out where do you get these snap in ones???

Thats odd . . . I've seen them at every auto store I've been to . . . I can even get a bunch free from my firends down at the honda dealership
They're such a small item that they might now show up on the website. Just go to a store and ask the clerk.

Yeah mark those were the kind I was talking about . . . I usually but a gob of glue to seal them anyways, I can never get them in right.

I've been looking around for piston plans, I'd love some advice, as I'm at a lack of cash and tools right now. Someday I'll make a coaxial . . .

this may be a dumb question but where can i get a 2 inch sprinkler valve? i wanna use it to actuate my 3 inch piston........

Why?
a 1" sprinkler would vent your pilot just as well with no noticeable increase in performance, and I have heard that it could actually hurt performance.
