Thanks for all the compliments guys. Yep im a lefty iknowmy3tables, which annoys the heck outta my friends when they want to shoot my guns. I suppose a center mounted handle underneath would solve that problem. But I really like how I have it now.

And I thought about doing that AmYisroelChai, but for me personally I enjoy being able to use both hands on my guns, makes me feel more manly haha. It's extremely sturdy as is so I don't feel like a strapped down trigger is needed. Thnx for the suggestion though.

Lmfao JSR, now why didn't I think of that. Seems so much less hastle than worrying about a cold can of Krylon.

Run a hose from the Sprinkler valve to the handle and attach the Bluwgun to the handle. It may things more one handed and less awkward. You will need a short peive of high pressure hose. Maybe that Plumbing Supply store.
Why would he want to use a ugly hose on such a clean launcher?
It doesn't look awkward to hold.

very cool
you know, you can test the gun to 70psi only an hour after cunstruction and its prety much safe to fill all the way after about three hours :)

Now that isn't true!
Thats how fittings blow!
The temperature, humidity, and several other factors can effect how long it takes for your pipe joints to cure

Yeah but I think the key words there are pretty much. Which doesn't mean 100% of the time. Safety is key for me when building my cannons. So I don't have a problem waiting the 24 hours on the welding to cure......although I can't ever seem to make it the 7 days for the Krylon lol.

Thanks Frank. That's pretty much the same opinion I have. I hate the way hoses look on some launchers. Don't get me wrong, a few launchers I've seen look ALOT better with the hose, just depends on the layout of the cannon. But I like the way this one is extended so I can grasp the trigger. Yeah, it's not awkward to hold at all. Feels pretty natural.

I think you'll find several tutorials better than the way I could explain it if you use the search. The only difference i used, was rather than using pressure rated hose to connect from the top of the sprinkler valve to the blowgun, I used brass fittings. I don't know of any fittings that will fit the solenoid hole off the top of my head, but I remember someone had one he found. Not sure if he had to mod it or not though. I just epoxy those 2 small holes and it works fine.

Nice cannon, very clean, nice paint job, and good work mounting the blowgun. You should try and make a piston valve soon because they are much more effective. (my next project is a piston tennis ball launcher) :D

The pipe comes like that so plumbers can join 2 lengths of the same diameter pipe without buying a coupling for them.
