diaphragm coaxial sprinkler exhaust cannon

I thought i would never do it, bu i accually built a diapgragm cannon. this is based off of my cousin's cannon, but this is smaller.

chamber- about 3 feet of 2''sch40 pvc.

barrel- about 3 feet of 3/4'' sch40 pvc.

valve- diaphram built into a union.

exhaust- sprinkler valve (may be over kill, we will have to see when i fire it.)

i built this mostly with spare pipe, but had to buy fittings. i already had a sprinkler valve, so i didnt see any reason to buy a ball valve for exhaust.

the diaphram is built into a union and is made of three sheets of innertubes from a bike tire.

intended ammo is paint balls and marbles.

i havent shot it yet. i still need to add a equilization hole and put some hose and a blowgun on the sprinkler valve. it will be fired on the shoulder, like an anti-tank weapon.

im hoping this will be very powerful, let me know what you guys think.

I actually had already started mine a couple a days before I saw yours. It is now finished, but I have 2 problems:
1) I cant get my barrel straight in the chamber, it always flops down
2) I lost by bike pump when I was racing Nationals last week :(
But otherwise its complete! Woohoo!

for a barrel center thing, i just took a 1.25'' endcap and cut it into quarters. and just used one of them.

as for the pump, i cant help you.

yup, you sure are a pvc master... jusk kidding.

take a 1.25'' and cap and cut it into 4 equal peices. take one of the pieces and put it between the barrel and the chamber and glue it.

it that still doesnt make sense i can take a picture. its very very simple.
