I love the pnuematic ram, operating the ball valve. THat thing is a fricken beast. It kicks ass. Pretty smart way of upgrading that cannon, cool video.

yea, I really like that ball valve, I feel like I have seen that cannon before, oh yea, I have gone to your website before, just wondering, um, about how much again did you shell out on the whole pnuematic ram setup?

does the ram open the ball valve faster than the sprinkler valve?

i would guess it would open it about as fast as a sprinkler, and the flow would be GREATLY improved, that would probably be a better alternative if you cant easily get sprinkler valves in your area

well... he had a sprinkler valve on the ram thing.

But he had a great idea, I was thinking about making a exo-skeleton like that ram, to help me lift weight and punch through brick or something( not with my hand), or even help a robot walk / me run faster.

yeah, but you could just as easily actuate the ram with a ball valve

I really like the valve opening ram idea,I may try a version of that.I have a
small cannon I built recently that has a spring ,latch and trigger mechanism that works well. When the valve is closed ,the latch which also has a spring pulls itself in position so then you just add air and a projectile and pull the trigger. It doesn't look like much but works well.
I also built a stock for it out of 2" wood. I have a larger cannon with a two inch manual valve that would be a good candidate for what I see in this posting.

I wouldn't necessarily say that.
It seems like to much hassle for me.
