This airgun works on a blowgun and it shoots around 100-150ft/s

yeah or you can hook it up to a bottle, its not really exciting but it works.

finally, someone proved my long promoted idea that you can use a blowgun as a hammer valve :D

Yeah as I have said in a other post sometime ago is though that the ports in the blowgun are really small. I tried to drill ehm open and broke the blowgun. Another problem is the low dwell time due to the strong spring behind the valve. I have shown it works but it shoots significantly slower then all my other guns. But its sooo uber simple. Eventhough I say this I wont work on this project no more as it was just to show that it works. I dont think it has much potential due to its dimensions and limited flow.

I'm aware that it's not the ideal type to be adapted to a hammer valve mechanism, but it's self contained and ready made so it would not involve too much construction for a person with limited facilities.

That is 100% true thats why I thought it would be interesting to share these old projects I had laying around.

That's the idea of this forum, not just sharing the finished result but the research that it developed from :) keep them coming

Hey thnx :) Its like I make that many though. Some are old ones I had laying around. Btw I have been working on this new auto design:
but when I tried to make it I realized everything had to very precise and it didnt really work out. I wish I had a milling machine or something, then I could make a stacked tube type of spyder bb gun (check the attachment>I made it myself sometime ago I am not sure if I should post it though as its not really something physical)

wow its like you really are making a gun a day were do you get your ideas i can just about come up with one about once a year =]

so the hammer valve duz work might have to try that some day looks easy to make and reliable too!!

hope to see more BBMG`S from you soon

haha, I dont develop that fast lol. Its just that I found this forum after I was doing this for about 4 years. So yeah most are pretty old. Yeah I am really fond of my hammer valves as they have a high efficiency and low leakability"". If you are really interested in making such a valve, look at this link: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-3-sta ... 12220.html
My major problem at the moment is my use of materials. As I am working on this automatic bb gun right now(with the same valve) the parts start wearing and deforming due to the forces and impacts. What I have in mind atm is a 20 shot auto (with semi trigger) that works on a 1.5L 8bar bottle.
