That's what first came to mind, but then I remembered I'm 25 and still fail to give a good example in the cheap sexual euphemisms department, so I can't really critisise anyone  :D

well I havent seen a bb go though wood before. But what I use as a test is: I put a nail in the barrel and a bb ball behind it and then shoot at a thick peace of wood. Once you shot this at point black range you can compare the depth of the nail by hitting one in yourself the same lenght. Like this you could also calculate how much energy is needed, as you could drop a weight from a certain height on a nail and c how far it goes it. The problem with this though is that when the gun is overpowered the nail is in all the way:)

Okay, enough with the crap.I tried shooting brick..( that is, without a real backstop, after going through a can :D )
plastic bb's have their limitations. They break up, and lack the weight needed to bury them selves into wood. ( I think, I'll have to try.. )
No mechanism, just plain bbmg, but upped the pressure...a lot!

Newsflash:

Suppressor is now finished, shiny and functional.
It does not suppress the noise of the bb's hitting their target.
I made a large bb trap with soft back material to catch the bb's..

They still make an impact and noise but hey...Here it is in all it;s glory:
Threads right in by hand..
Sleak ( wouldn't want a bulky collection of fittings at the end of the muzzle), stainless steel and ready to rock!
(picture makes it look crooked, but like me, it's straight!)

its beginning to look really good... keep up the good work...

I don't remember if you were planing on putting a red dot or a scope on it or not but It would be sweet if you did!

well brain you should experiment and try to put one on it... Ill make a quick photoshop of what it could look like...

With ACOG

I think it would look sweet... but then again to each his own.

(jaw drops to floor)

that looks so sick. only recommendation is to maybe drop the CO2 tank with a remote line. I think the tank droppin down off the gun ruins the look a bit. damn though!

Now i need my job to start up again so i can complete my marble MG, and my two bb guns- one is a vortex cap, the other, is unreg bbmg like yours.

would it be alright if i PM you about my marble MG along with my unreg BBMG?

Thanks,

ILTBTU

I think it doesn't look so bad, gives it a "magazine" look. another solution would be to have the tank in line with the barrel as a stock, like some air rifles:

Brian, You really should get a 0.177 barrel - though if you're using steel BBs, I wouldn't bother with rifling, it will just waste air by letting it blow by the grooves.

Wow BTB, I always look forward to see your guns! You take BBMGs to the next level...

Now video please! And moar damage!! :D

JSR stole half my idea
I was going to say have the CO2 tank parallel to the barrel, but directly under it infront of the grip, not behind as a stock.

It would serve as a nice grip for your left hand too. (If you shoot righty)

I was thinking the same exact thing....

After looking at this I'm half tempted to give this idea another go, with a larger chamber and better BB capacity.

My solution, in time, would be to get a smaller tank, to fit the "magazine look" JSR is talking about. With unregged CO2 in it I could still empty the "real"mag.

I tried both under the barrel and behind, but the tank is about 2" too long and looks even bulkier there. And I kinda like the direct approach.
I didn;t have to buy any new parts to build this thing.Mounting it some other place while keeping it unregged, would require me to buy new pressure rated parts.
You take BBMGs to the next level...
I wouldn't have bothered otherwise..

.
In Holland, the lead ones are more common.
Í understand what the rifling does, but thanks for the head-up.

Do I appear unapproachable or something??
Anybody can PM me anytime for things like that!
I'd love to follow the progress and help where I can.
The only reason I build these good looking launchers, is because I have the means to, not because I'm better than anyone here.
It just helps I've been thinking up weapons since early childhood, and I have remained in that mindset up to my current "old age" of 32..
I started with wooden rubberbandguns that could knock somebody out.
I know because I experienced it first hand.

You always inspire me.. :D

First priority is to get and build a fridge compressor. It's a major step forward.Shockpumping a reservoir big enough to fire a bbmg at high pressure is not even funny.
And for God's sake clean up the look of that thing :D
