since I have been looking into silencers for the exhaust of my bike I am more and more convinced that using the gas to cancel out it's own energy might be the best way to go..


Provide two paths for the gas to follow and lead those gasses back to face eachother...

Steelwool slows down the flow thereby stretching the release of gas.
Woosh over BANG..
Both methods combined might work best.

I'm hoping I can get a chance at another build soon...
If I do I'll give that a try.

You can clearly see that the baffles in the suppressor create vortices of swirling gas giving them time to cool before leaving the muzzle.

Perhaps you want something like this inside your tube?

i think that to make it the quietest you should use fabric covering the holes then steel wool lapping on top after that i think coton would stop the rest of the noise
