Hi,
I'm new here and been looking around decided to make me a cloud. I picked up some parts at the local hardware store. I have put it together and it fires ok, but the ROF could be better how can I make the rate of fire go up?

yeah it didn't work the first time. Since you're new I'll help you. There's more information about blowguns here.

Longer barrel - More power less ROF but more accuracy
Smaller Chamber = More power not as much air wasted but less BB's

You may want to make the chamber slightly bigger and make sure the BB's arn't higher then the barrel inside the chamber.

Did you flare the entry end of the barrel? Since your not useing a vortex block.

yes the entry end is flared, I may get a longer barrel to get some more power.

easyest way to improve rof is just increace the psi your putting in

the best way to make the ROF go up is to make a VORTEX gun NOT a CLOUD. but anyways its a good looking cloud gun but consider making an inline vortex gun next time you build a BBMG. if you are not up to making the vortex block, Noname sells them for $5, or you could just make it yourself.

i think you need a bigger bullet chamber and add a vortex half the size of the chamber take a look at the pic i attached

i've seen your pic but how do you pour the bb's in do you just load them in or what ?

Ok two things here, simo, if he was to put the block in there, then it would be classifyied either a inline vortex gun, or just a vortex gun. second thing is, simo you barly understand how the block works, and also you BB's are loaded through the back, as in, the plunger (spring that pushes the BB's forward) is attached to the end cap, usally, well mine is in a 2" section, so my plunger is attached to my 2" cap, then the block itself goes inside, and lines up with your blowgun, in a particular way, the, it works by the air coming in from the blowgun, creats a "vortex" affect in the hole hense the name, and then come shooting out the barrel.

i know what a wortex is i have a inline vortex bb gun and i have a cloud so i think i know what im doing and you only have a inline vortex not a cloud

thats because inline vortex's are much more specialized

i could make a cloud out of a pill bottle and a pen tube. i know at least halph of the members here have tried it. you cant, however, make an inline vortex with random household items. it takes some serious effort......

and plus, the vorex is a whole different beast...............

but hey, your picture was pretty accurate. mabey you do know. have you posted your inline gun? how do we know ur not lying like your little marble rifle stunt?

Mmmm and i wonder who taught you about inlines, and also evr since when have you had a cloud, the first thing you asked me was, do they have a vortex block in them? Der its a cloud not a vortex gun. You just proved your self wrong. Peoples, on MSN Simo goes yeah i have a cloud and i made my own vortex block to go in it. this is what i mean simo a cloud doesnt have a vorex block, and the blow gun, correct me if im wrong, is sposed to go at the front not half way so you can put a vortex block in, and then take it out when you want too use it as a cloud. i rest my case. and whats a "wortex" bahahaha
