Cloud vs Vortex Video

Update: I did a cloud vs vortex video to show the difference.
ok guys this is my first aluminum vortex block for my mac 10 .177 cal bbmg. I finally got to shoot it and take video but it was dark sorry, this thing is awesome to say the least. the ROF is amazing and it shoots harder than the cloud i first built. i made both to see the difference, a cloud and a vortex and i would go with the vortex anyday. this gun can be completely stripped down with a cresent wrench. im going to install a spring and plunger soon. btw i try to keep my shots in a big cardboard box so i can use a magnet to gather up the bb's and reuse them unless they hit something hard.

my site has more info on making it.

Way to go.

I like the raw-metal-style at parts in guns. No f-in plastics ;).

awesome job so far for a guy who sounds iffy on vortex blocks. now you need a ram a spring loaded device that will push the bbs forward other wise you will have feeding problems after to tank gets a little low

wow..... i wish i had an air compressor to fire bbmg's with............

you should make that silencer actually work. id bet 50 bucks it would actually make the gun quiet enough the only sound you hear is the bb's rolling across the vortex block.......... and the rain of destrution on the receiving end.........

If you can't find a spring long enough you might can make one yourself. I coiled one, tempered it, and then burned oil around it to make it springy for my BBMG. A washer, or a piston would work great for pushing the BBs in.

A silencer would be useless for a strafer, except for looks. There isn't enough sound to be silenced, although I'd find the pinging of the BBs and the metal block funny.
Make sure the block is removable, because you used the "full hole" type of block, which is prone to jamming without shrouds on it.
Another problem I see is that the air input is going to be very difficult to set up, unless you mount it in clear pipe.
The block itself looks pretty good, great job with the aluminum.

your right noname about the noise, the silencer is only for looks and a hand grip but i got it all put together with shrouds on the block and the whole gun can be taken apart with 1 cresent wrench. everything lined up. it took me a while to get it figured out but i got it to all fit correctly. the rate of fire is awesome. i even hooked up a 1 pound propane bottle to power it but the propane does not come out fast enough, maybe if i made a expansion chamber i could shoot bursts with it. btw according to research green gas is propane.
