Usually there are a few points that connect the 2 halves of the main body, I usually jam a knife in the seam and move it through the seem and saw through those points, starting at the bottom. Depending on the lighter, their may be 2 wires coming out of the main body. You can remove the gas container and dispose of it, also, you can take the safety off, (the part on top) also. On one of my cannons I removed the safeties and gas and put it back together, then strapped it onto my cannon and used the trigger mechanism that it has to trigger the piezo, the 2 wires that were in the lighter just went to my spark screws. My first cannon was a cool bazooka style.

yepp. im just glad it didnt get my face..
i think ive worn the clicker out so im going to go buy a new one tomorrow..im using a pill bottle that is kinda flimsy so the spark screws that i have set up dont stay in place and they spread apart so im going to have to find a new chamber

slip the collar at the base of the neck off with a knife and the screw and the halves should seperate like butter

I have found some are glued, others are screwed together and the screws are hidden under the stickers. The metal "nose" part usually will slide off, sometimes requireing a little persuasion with a flathead screwdriver.

What brand are you disassebling? I have a bunch in my basement that I could mess with if it is one of those brands.
