Every time i go to my local Home Depot, i end up answering a customer's question about plumbing that the employees got all wrong.
I once had an employee argue with me about schedule 40 being pressure rated. it says RIGHT ON THE PIPE "DWV NOT FOR PRESSURE"
He insisited that even cell core, as long as it was sched 40, was pressure rated.
Also, back on topic. Another usefull fitting is called a "Face bushing" they come in 3/4'' NPT outer threads with 1/2'' inner threads and are used for installing sinks.
