I think I like my gun the way it is...

No, really. I do. Commercial versions jam too often. The only damage to mine is on the stock sling mount where the screws had apparantly stripped and they had toi put in a new chunk of wood. It's barely noticable. One of it's best features is its down the barrel sights, it allows me to be so much more accurate than I could be snap-firing a more modern rifle. This thing could drive nails, I swear.





I really need to stop surfing SF during physics and speech class.

Nothing wrong with classic looks :) but it goes to show how firearm technology in terms of performance hasn't changed that much, if you can take an old action firing the same old cartridge and put it in a new shell still ending up with a viable weapon.

funny we should talk about stopping power, i just picked up a r700 bdl fluted chambered in .300 winchest magnum :D i must say though, its quite a bit on the shoulder

ok and this last one is just to put the size of the round it fires in perspective, the round on the left is the 5.56x45 NATO (the round fired by the m-16, m-4, g-36 ect.) and the round on the right is the .300 winchester mag. or the 7.62x67

hahah thanks guys :D iv been waiting for quite a while to pick up a large caliber weapon, and now iv got one that'll do 1200 yards :D
