Does anyone know where I can find some quality galvanized fittings online? I've tried a number of hardware stores around my area but they seem to either be lacking variety or are very expensive. The parts need to be suitable for a hybrid so I'm a little queasy about ordering online (that and I'm sure shipping must cost a fortune). Anyone have know any ideal websites or shops in southwest Michigan?
Oh, I've also looked a bit on craigslist but to no avail.

I'm sure there are cheaper places, but as far as selection goes McMaster-Carr will be your best bet. You can get up to 3000# fittings in galvanized or black iron.

Does anyone know if Plumbers Supply Direct is a repudible site? They've got a good selection and great pricing, but I can't find any reviews on them. Additionally, are malleable black iron fittings safe for 1000+ psi? (Black iron is cheaper on the site)

Multiple people (SB15, DYI, MrC) have used normal 150# galvanized/black iron fittings handheld up to 10x... not that that makes it OK, but 150 PSI is generally accepted to be the pressure the threads are guaranteed to seal at.

Alright, stupid question but with black iron is there any sort of risk of corrosion/rust? I thought that I could just put a clear coat on the outside and some sort of oil layer on the inside (I didn't think the clear coat would be a good idea since the fumes would mess with the mix or it would burn off). But then I thought that it too would probably burn up. Any insight?
