Easter Eggs

So, its the time of the year that all the easter candy and related items go on sale. And its early enough thats its still cheap.
Friday, I bought 2 bags of easter egg things, the small plastic hollow eggs that split open to hide candy and stuff in.
Aside from these being great sabot shells, I found another use: Ice ball shells/molds. I took a wire coat hanger, cut an 8 inch length and pointed on end with my dremel.
I took the top half of the eggs and laid them out in a row. I had bought 2 bags of the eggs with 50 eggs apiece in them, so I had about 100 egg half's going across my floor. I took the wire piece and heated the tip with a candle and went through and poked a hole through each top piece as a vent. I then took a bucked of water and dunked each egg in till it was like 9/10 full.
The reason you don't fill it all the way is so the expanding ice doest break the egg shell. I froze them for like 4 hrs and then just popped open the mold to get the actual round itself. If there was an exceptionally hard one to open, I just ran it under warm water for a few seconds and it was all good.
They fit perfectly in my 2 in diameter barrel on my pneumatic gun and they go on forever. I'm going to try some food coloring in the water to make them easier to see in the day. sorry if this is overly explained or if its already been done, i searched and found nothing.
