Anyone know where to get golf ball sized pipe in Aus? Class 18 40mm pipe definately does not fit golf balls, has anyone checked if Class 12 does? MrCrowley's golf ball gun apparently uses class 18 40mm but I suspect it's actually class 12.

take a golf ball into bunnings or mitre ten and have a look i guess probably the easiest way to do it unless if you live so far out in woop woop and you have to drive 20kms to get there lol

a proper golf ball barrel is an inch and a half SDR21 sch 200 pipe. go to BCARMS and take a look at what they've got.

Shipping 5ft of barrel from america to Australia would be a bit pricey I woulda thought

i got some 40mm pipe from bunnings that fits golf balls EXTREMELY well lol

if one end is blocked it takes maybe 2 seconds to get down 6 ft of pipe, i am not sure what PN it is i think maybe you are right about the PN12 though.

where in this sunburnt land are you at mate?

I'm sure at least two PN types of Aus/NZ pipe fit golfballs. Maybe it was PN12 and PN15 not PN18 :?

Try PN12 or 15 then :)

Edit: BTW This is Crowley, i'm on a friends account at school. My friend made an account at school for fun and I use it so the 'new topic' list doesn't clear when I log on at home.

Cool, I'll try some class 12, I dont think I've ever seen class 15 over here though.

Another quick question, would there be any point having a big thick expensive class 18 chamber, If I was to put a thin class 12 barrel on it? Would this depend on how tight the projectile was in? So say you had something rammed in real tight, would the 'shock' of having 100PSI dumped into it when you trigger the valve, mean the barrel needs to be able to take more pressure than the chamber?

Perth aswell mate!!

ive finally got some spudding company over here :D

Are you north or south of the swan?

EDIT: the barrel does not have to be rated more than the chamber, the pressure is only there for a split second or so. I have a GB gun with a PN18 50mm chamber and it is thick as hell!

Holy Sh*t. Two more fellas from West Aus. Well at least you guys live near the city i live in York so not many places to get pressure rated pipe. (sad point) But i am heading down to Perth on Tuesday coming and i will be getting the pipe and fittings i need but i am not completely sure where to get them from. One guy said Reece or TradeLink? i was just wondering where did you get yours as i was planing on going a 2" T section Piston down to a 2" elbow then into a 3" chamber but all that was going to be PN 18 and i was going to get some Pn 18 40 mm for my barrel but if it doesn't fit a golfball (my main projectile) whats the point?

But yes i am just wanting to know where you guys get your pipe from so i can get all mine in one hit since i don't come to perth alot.

thanks mates and go the aussies!!!

ok thanks heaps mate. and if they do go upp to 6" that will be wicked since i actully want to make the chamber 4" or maybe 3" then down to a 2" piston and if they have all the fitting and pipe i ned thats wicked sets me up well.:D:D

But still doesnt answer what size pipe will fit a GoflBall PN12 or PN 15??

But once again thanks heaps for all info makes my life way more easier.
