How do you do this I have always wondered.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

What are the dimensions of the pipe you wish to cut? I've never tried, but I would imagine it could be cut on a table saw. With the right blade, I've ripped 1/4" aluminum plate with no problem. Spray her down with some WD-40 though and go slow.
That is if you have access to a table saw. If not, as killjoy said, the dremel is your friend

Bandsaw. Either that or a hacksaw and time.
Stupid quote of the now:
joestue "The chamber is rated to 100 psi, it don't say that on the side, but the 2 inch stuff is rated to 300, so by analogy..."
"only the last two feet hear the end is black cellular core"
"I'm taking it to 300 psi"

would a dremel with a cutting wheel be enough?

You can actually convert a cheap wood band saw to cut metal pretty easily, I got a book that shows how. You just have to gear it so the rpms are low and throw on a bi metal blade. Just thought I mention that.Bandsaw. Either that or a hacksaw and time.
Like frank said, LOTS of disk and LOTS of time, probably cost a lot too. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to use a grinder with cutting disks, and you can find a decent one online or at a discount tool store pretty cheap now days. That's your best bet.[/quote]while we're on the topic of cutting pipe sideways

it can be done but it's not practical in any way
if you want to do it to make a breech loading or something like that it would be better if you use copper or aluminium pipe

I think an angle grinder would be your best bet, as long as you don't mind a wide cut.
