Just want to be sure on cam locks before I order

Hey all, I've given up on a 4" barrel sealing piston valve, mostly because no matter how many versions i've built, i could never get it to perform, so I'm switching to some massive burst disks... which will guarantee results.

I'm going to be getting some cam locks that screw onto 3" threads, and just wanted to make sure that these would work/compatible before i order them..

might seem n00bish but there's a lot of options on mcmaster

part #s- 5535K36 and 5535K61

Thanks,

I went with these, 5535K57 and 5535K38 especially on the female receiver part because the male threads on it make it convenient to screw into a cleanout. Otherwise you'll have to find a 3" adapter or nipple of some sort some.

On the male cam part it really depends how you want to build out your barrel. I've found a female connection seems to be easier to deal with building the barrel. Like so...

I went with having a female for my chamber section, so I just put a male connector on the reducer/coupling of my chamber to connect the two together. For the barrel I used a male cam so all I had to do was put a female connector on the end of my barrel to connect the two. That was all there was to it. Simple! 8)
